The City of Glasgow is rich with architecture, particularly noted for its 19th century Victorian building, designs of Charles Rennie Mackintosh of the Arts and Crafts movement and a host of modern buildings. It was designated UK City of Architecture and Design in 1999 which celebrated its impressive array of building traditions. The GLM thanks Glasgow Film Office for a truly informative fam trip covering a whole host of location opportunities in the city. April 2007

Durham. Hosted by Northern Film and Media in October 2006 and in The Northern Echo.
Northern Film and Media highlighted the hidden treasures of Durham and its surrounding area to a small group of location managers in October 2006.

In April 2005 Northern Film & Media hosted another of their fine fam trips covering stately splendour, coastline, historic fishing harbours and a great overview of the Tyneside industrial heritage with a boat trip down the River Tyne.

A fascinating fam trip was hosted by the Royal Film Commission of Jordan in May 2005. Thanks again to Malcolm Treen for his wry observations on this special trip.

Aberdeen City and Shire Film Office was keen to show off their unique locations, picturesque coastline and historic city. The location managers were also blown away, quite literally, on gaining access to an oil rig, now used as a training base. More

The Tenerife Film Commission has invited members of The Guild on trips in December 2003 and December 2004. Malcolm Treen provides a colourful report on this entertaining first visit in the Spring Newsletter of 2004.
