The Edinburgh Film Festival programme said "An essential tool for film fans and industry professionals alike, there's no doubting IMDb's innovative media presence. Founder and CEO Col Needham talks of how he turned his love of film into an indispensible resource, his vision for the future of IMDb and new technologies for the world of film".

For over three years now, the Guild has been making a concerted effort into improving the status and recognition of the Location Manager and in particular trying to get IMDb to recognise the department and give it its own category within their listings.

On Sunday 19th June, our Chair, Jane Soans attended the "Spotlight on IMDb Founder Col Needham, held at the Teviot Debating Hall. This event was part of the Edinburgh Film Festival.

Jane took notes and talked to Col after the event about our thoughts & concerns. Read her summary of the afternoon.
