The Guild of Location Managers is an organisation for professional location managers and membership of the Guild may be taken as evidence of a level of experience and a responsible, long-term approach to location management.
Location managers fall into two main categories of membership. Full membership is for applicants who have been working within the location department in the UK with a minimum of three years credits as a Full Location Manager. Associate membership is open to those who have been working in the UK for less than three years as a location manager, assistant location manager, unit manager or location scout with the intention to pursue a long term career within the location department.
All our members are issued with an ID card that may be crossed checked with their entry on the website.
The category of Friends is for retired location managers or those who have left the industry, but still like to keep in touch with what's been going on.
We also welcome support from companies and organisations allied to the industry of location finding. We are delighted to have the support of so many affiliate members that cover a great cross section of our industry from location libraries and film commissions to publications and suppliers.
